Home Sweet Home

We spent the first two weeks of August in Arizona visiting our families. We stayed with Jake's family and with all 10 of us under one roof, it was a very full house! Two days after we arrived, Jake's brother, Carter, came home from his mission in Argentina. Jake hadn't seen him in 3 1/2 years so it was fun for them to catch up. It was probably pretty weird for Carter to come home to a sister-in-law as well but I told him when he left that that would likely be the case!

We had so much fun spending time with our families. Some highlights included:

• Way too much fast food/restaurant food
• Shopping (and getting 4 new skirts!)
• Jake took all our siblings to Big Surf
• Shark Week (seriously we watched too much of Shark Week)
• Making superhero capes for the Hero Up Half in September
• Time with extended family 
• Being able to listen to Carter's homecoming and Amanda's farewell talks
• Going to the movies 3 times (Despicable Me 2, Red 2, & Wolverine)
• Taking family pictures with Jake's family (pictures to come!)

When our vacation was over, we didn't want to leave! We'll miss you Arizona!
